Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly
in recognition of some of the 'greats' of history. J.M. Barrie, one often children born to a weaver in Kireiemuir began his career in journalism at Nottingham. He soon gravitated to London to establish himself as a playwright and the best loved writer of his day. Peter Pan was written in 1904 and in April 1929 Sir James bequeathed all royalties and rights to Peter Pan to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children on the understanding that the amount raised by the boy was never to be revealed. |
